Final Fantasy XIII Empty Final Fantasy XIII

Post  Dessert Mon Mar 07, 2011 8:32 am

So one of the games my wife and I currently playing is Final Fantasy XIII

So far its not bad. IMO there have definitely been better FF games, but the new more action-packed battle system isn't bad.

I am currently on Chapter 9 (Disk 2), so I'm nowhere near finishing.

Anyway, anyone else played this? If so, what are your opinions/comments about the game?

I couldn't get into it. I put it down after I got Hope's summon I think. Honestly I don't like being a female main character. And I didn't really enjoy the world. /crosses fingers for Versus.

i got it like a week ago and still wonder about it. im only at the part where the party splits up into hope / light and sazh / vanille (snow got captured by fang before). I like the combat system, but the game looks way to straight for me. nothing to explore expect the occasional flying ball chest off the way

My wife and I both agree that Vannile is definitely loli-material. *Shudder*

She is the cutest though, however.

@_@ one of the characters is named after my wife too.

No, Sazh! (just kidding >.> But I was serious about the name part)

By the way, is it smart to spend as much money as I can developing my weapons to max level so I can get the transfusion? Or have I been doing it all wrong? (Each weapon is over level 10 at this point, I don't even know what the max level is >.>)

Max level for a tier 1 weapon is 41 afaik.
Weapons get stronger, so you pretty much dont do anything wrong, and theres nothing else to do with the cash either.
Only thing ive noticed so far is you should upgrade smart. The organic stuff seems to give low exp but increases the multiplier. the other things like cabels give huge exp but decrease it. so push multiplier to 3x and then feed the weapon like 99 cables. that should give the best result.

rest assured, i only just got to the point where you can modify, and tested around, but did not save any modifications yet.

Ah. Yeah, what I usually do is save up a bunch of money for a ton of expensive items like cabling or film.

36 organics make x3 exp on a weapon, so i buy something like Beastial Claws, then put in like 50 high level items, whatever I could afford at the time really.

i noticed that especially with organics, the cheap ones are more effective in price / use ratio
